Last week I posted a story regarding LeBron James and Kevin Durant’s Uber ride with Cari Champion on her show “Riding With The Champion”. James and Durant got candid talking about life and dealing with success and the scrutiny that comes along with it. Eventually their conversation turned to politics as James is notoriously known for calling the President a bum. Deservedly so. James not only re-instated the sentiment, he spoke about how he’s still vulnerable to wanton racism, having had “nigger” spray painted on the garage of his residence, despite being rich and one of the most famous people on earth. Essentially re-affirming the poignancy of Jay-Z’s ‘Story of O.J.’
Fox News’ Laura Ingraham took umbrage with James’ and Durant’s viewpoint regarding the
very White House.
“It’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball,” she said. “Keep the political comments to yourselves. … Shut up and dribble.”

They use to try and hide it.. now the president has given everyone the courage to live their truths. https://t.co/OwLSMHIG0m

The All-Star weekend wrapped this past weekend in Los Angeles, with Lebron winning the game MVP.
What I have come to admire about LeBron, as I’ve mentioned before, is his willingness to engage in the political arena. When James was asked about the comments made by Ingraham, not surprisingly, he took the ‘high road’, but made it clear that shutting up and dribbling won’t be happening anytime soon.
